Invest TCI Hosts Fully Booked Brand Storytelling Workshop in Partnership with DMZ Toronto
Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands — Invest Turks and Caicos’ Business Support Unit (BSU) successfully hosted a fully subscribed, high-impact Brand Storytelling That Sells workshop on Monday, 24th November 2025, led by Emily Collins, Marketing & Communications Manager at DMZ Toronto — one of the world’s leading startup incubators.
The event, held at Invest TCI’s Providenciales office, reached full capacity within hours of opening registration. Demand exceeded in-person seating, resulting in additional participants joining online through a live virtual stream. Attendees represented a wide cross-section of the local business community, including boutique hotel owners, tourism activity operators, beauty industry entrepreneurs, and service-based small business owners. All came eager to strengthen how they communicate their brand value in an increasingly competitive market.
The interactive session walked entrepreneurs through practical marketing frameworks such as understanding their customer “hero,” identifying emotional and functional brand benefits, and crafting a clear, compelling brand story for use across websites, pitches, social media, and customer experience materials. Participants also completed hands-on worksheets provided by DMZ —including the Hero Snapshot, Brand Benefits Builder, and Brand Story Statement templates—which helped them create actionable messaging they could implement immediately.
“We were so happy to have DMZ partner in this marketing workshop to help our entrepreneurs tell their brand stories as we prepare them for TCI and beyond,” said Dawn Higgs, Director of the Business Support Unit. “The enthusiasm in the room confirmed what we already know – our entrepreneurs are hungry for targeted, practical training that equips them to compete confidently and tell their story with clarity.”
“This session was incredibly interactive, and I truly enjoyed engaging with TCI’s business owners,” said Emily Collins of DMZ Toronto. “I was able to have meaningful one-on-one conversations after the workshop, and it’s clear that the entrepreneurial spirit in the Turks and Caicos is strong. DMZ was happy to offer this training while visiting for Invest TCI’s awards gala, and we look forward to continuing our partnership and supporting the business community across the islands.”
This workshop is one of several new BSU initiatives designed to offer intimate, high-value learning experiences for small business owners across the Turks and Caicos Islands. As the Unit continues to modernize and expand its offerings, business owners can expect a steady calendar of impactful sessions—including CEO Mindset for Success, Business Banking Basics, Financial Literacy for Business, Digital Tools for Entrepreneurs, and Investor-Ready Business Planning — all designed to build stronger, more competitive enterprises across the Turks and Caicos Islands.
Invest TCI remains committed to strengthening the local entrepreneurial ecosystem by providing access to expert-led training, customized guidance, and partnership-driven opportunities, ensuring that entrepreneurs and business owners are equipped to grow, scale, and succeed both domestically and globally.
End.
