Invest TCI Financial Services Update: A Message To Our Stakeholders

  • Post category:News

Amidst the uncertainty and change that has transpired globally over the last two months, we have all undoubtedly been forced to adapt in order to get through such a unique time. As Turks and Caicos returns to normality, it is important for Invest Turks and Caicos to keep you informed of our work, as we promote the development of our country. The Covid-19 virus has underlined TCI’s need for industrial diversification into additional sectors such as Financial Services.

Invest TCI has proactively promoted the growth of the Financial Services both nationally and internationally. Due to the coronavirus and resulting lockdown, our financial services workshop due to be held in early April for all stakeholders as a follow up to our 2nd Annual Economic Conference had to be postponed. The aim of this workshop was to provide a progress report, address local concerns, identify opportunities for broadening the sector, and develop action points for follow-up. This workshop will be rescheduled as early as possible and you will be notified of the new date and location.

We are also pleased to announce that the first phase of our strategic and marketing plan has begun. This will be executed through the expertise of the globally recognized financial services consultancy firm, FTI Consulting. We will be working with FTI to develop our communication goals, commercial objectives, competitive benchmarks and an overall brand image, enabling the TCI to effectively find its place and overall identity as a serious player in global financial services. This is the start of TCI’s economic diversification as an elite vacation destination plus a world-class financial services hub.

Invest TCI would like to thank you for your support and interest as we work together to build a strong TCI Financial Services sector, and a diversified economy with opportunity for all. We look forward to keeping you informed in the coming months.
