Invest TCI’s Business Support Unit hosted QuickBooks Practical Training for Beginners

Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands, March 2nd, 2023 – On Thursday, February 23rd, 2023, Invest Turks and Caicos’ Business Support Unit hosted a QuickBooks Practical Training for Beginners. Eleven business owners (all females) participated in the hands-on training, which was held at the Blue Haven Resort in Providenciales from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.

The training was facilitated by Ms. Peshina Williams, owner of Vision Financial, an Accounting and bookkeeping firm servicing the Turks and Caicos Islands. During the training, the participants learned the following:

  • Introduction to QuickBooks
  • Creating a Chart of Accounts
  • Creating User Lists
  • Backing up and restoring QuickBooks Files
  • Managing Revenue
  • Managing Accounts Payable

The QuickBooks Practical Training for Beginners is the first of a series of QuickBooks Practical Training offered by the newly formed Business Support Unit at Invest Turks and Caicos. All participants of the QuickBooks Practical Training for Beginners have successfully advanced to the intermediate level. 

Commenting on the Training, Executive Director – Entrepreneurial Development, Anissa Adderley, stated, “Our goal is to educate, empower and inspire business owners to create resilient and sustainable enterprises. We invite all businesses to register and participate in future training offered by the Business Support Unit. We also encourage all businesses and entrepreneurs to take advantage of the services offered by the Business Support Unit, namely Business Planning, Business Training, Business Advisory Services and MSME Programme Recipient Support Services.”
