Sky Poultry Farm Ltd., owned by Mr. Sean Penn, a Turks and Caicos Islander, has emerged as an innovative poultry enterprise committed to sustainable farming practices. Focused on providing high-quality chicken and eggs to the Turks and Caicos Islands, the farm contributes to local food security and economic growth.

On December 3rd, Mrs. Angela Musgrove, CEO of Invest TCI and Ms. Alexa Cooper, Vice President of SME, joined stakeholders from the Ministry of Tourism on a tour of the facility. During the visit, Mr. Penn outlined his ambitious plan to produce a substantial number of eggs and broilers. He emphasized the importance of large-scale production in reducing the country’s reliance on imported poultry products while meeting the growing demand for fresh, locally sourced food driven by the booming tourism industry.

Mr. Penn shared that, as a beneficiary of the MSME programme, he was able to utilize duty concessions to support the growth of his business. He also highlighted the importance of Turks and Caicos Islanders becoming more aware of the comprehensive services offered by Invest TCI, particularly the business support available for startups.

The MSME Programme focuses on 16 key sectors with significant potential to drive economic growth, such as agriculture, fisheries, manufacturing, technology, and the creative industries. By targeting these areas, the programme nurtures businesses, fosters innovation, and strengthens the local economy.

With its commitment to fostering sustainable businesses, the MSME Programme continues to empower local entrepreneurs like Mr. Penn, ensuring their success drives significant contributions to the economic growth and community development of the Turks and Caicos Islands.
